Stashbusting 9-5-10

I'm in Maine this week.  So fabric out is 0, oh but I do have some to report.

In this week: 7 yds
Out this week: 0 yds

In YTD: 40 yds
Out YTD: 48 yds
Net used YTD:  8.5  Still in the black
Donated YTD:  134yds

Plan to make 2 pillowcases with the lighthouse/ Coast Guard.  The other fabric will have use later this year I hope.  Also bought thread to longarm a fall quilt.
This is one of the quilt shops I hit.  Maine-ly sewing.
We went to go in the door was locked, my daughter tried another door it was OPEN.  The sales person said it must have been the ghost locking the door.  lol  we all had a laugh with that. Than I was told they have 40% fabric upstairs, of course we went up.  Found a couple of fabrics there too, while coming down the stairs, I got to the bottom and turned to go into another room, a shelf and a bolt of fabric hit me in the calves.  That was to weird, either she wanted me out of there or suggesting heavily to purchase her choice.  It turned out her fiance was building the house for her, but she died before ever getting married or moving in.  Just what I need, a ghost chasing me out the building, without fabric.  I did travel over 3000 miles to see this one and the Quilt Divas right in Rockland Maine, walking distance to my daughters house.  We had fun at the 2 stores.
See how everyone is doing at:JUDY L

I hope you picked up "her" suggestion. Cool story, I bet the young woman is very pleased her home is now a quilt shop.

Your numbers are still in the black, way to go. Loved the story about your "ghostly encounter" while shopping with your daughter. I'm sure you bothed laughed about it after you left the premises. Jane

You could claim that you didn't put that bolt on the cutting table, it just appeared. That has happened to me several times. Great numbers.
